Clarence House Preparatory School is an independent school for girls aged 7-11
Clarence House is an academic preparatory school, preparing girls for success in external entrance exams at 11+, with a specialism in S.T.E.M. subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), and a focus on developing a growth mindset and leadership skills.
The school is a single form entry. Our first Year Three class opened in September 2016, and the school will grow year-on-year.
A Tradition of Excellence
For many years Jack & Jill Nursery and Pre-Preparatory school parents have asked the Papirnik family to extend their provision beyond Year Two; in September 2016, the granddaughter of the school’s founder, Molly Papirnik, our Principal, Karen Papirnik, opened Clarence House, which will build on the long-standing tradition of excellence established at Jack & Jill Nursery and Pre-Prep.
We will moving into our permanent home on Hampton Hill High Street in September 2017.
The school will be based in Clarence House, a magnificent three storey Georgian building at the heart of the Hampton Hill community. The building is undergoing a programme of refurbishment to ensure our girls have access to the very best facilities, which will include dedicated Science, Art and Music rooms, and a ‘Maker Space’ for girls to create and share models, designs and experiments. Our close proximity to the Little Gym and Bushy Park will provide excellent sports facilities, and the girls will benefit from state-of-the-art IT.
Clarence House is based in Nightingale House, Jack & Jill’s Pre-Preparatory School, for the 2016-17 academic year
As you would expect from a selective preparatory school, we have very high expectations for achievement in English and Mathematics. Girls will benefit from a tailored preparation programme for external entrance examinations at eleven.
The Papirnik family remains committed to working with parents to provide outstanding pastoral care. As a one-form entry school with class sizes that will never exceed twenty, our girls enjoy learning in a warm, supportive family environment.
Competitive Sport, Music, Art and Drama
We offer specialist teaching in Music, Art and Drama, and our girls will take part in a wide range of sports and debating fixtures.
Entry into Clarence House is guaranteed for existing Jack and Jill families. External applicants are assessed on entry for attainment and potential.
